ARTIST BIO

Cori Elba is an illustrator, drummer, and a flight attendant. Born in Salem, Massachusetts in 1987, she was lucky to have a childhood filled with punk rock and cartoons. She grew up in South Florida and moved to California 14 years ago to work as a flight attendant for Virgin America. In May of 2015, she created “On Planet Weird” a world of cartoon art. Over the past decade, she has sold over 1,000 handmade items on her Etsy shop, participated in zine festivals and art shows all over the world including five shows in Tokyo. She has illustrated three children’s books, made art for Miley Cyrus, learned how to play the drums, and released two solo records.  After living all over the state,  she found a town and community that she loves in Truckee. Currently an LAX based flight attendant, she spends her days off creating art and practicing yoga.
